Shopping secondhand safely during the Covid19 pandemic
In line with the rules for shops and markets, mask wearing is mandatory at our events
Please wash your hands before leaving home and sanitise upon entering and leaving the venue.
Hand washing is still the number one thing we can do to beat this virus.
Please keep your distance indoors
The same as you would in a shop
Please do not attend if you are unwell or have any Covid symptoms or are subject to self isolation or quarantine rules set by government.
You can find the latest rules here
We hope to be back to regular monthly markets very soon- so hopefully you won't have to wait too long if you miss out this month
Please shop alone
Because we need to limit the numbers inside our venues we would prefer it if you shop alone for the time being so that more families can benefit from our events. To encourage this we have suspended use of the 241 voucher until further notice. Please avoid bringing children inside.
Please bring the correct change- £2 for admission on the door
Please help us keep our event organisers fit and healthy by bringing the correct change and depositing it in the entry box. To limit contact we will also not be giving out goody bags for the time being.
Please avoid handling goods for sale unnecessarily
This will help limit the spread of the disease in general. It is also a huge help if you can shop and then leave as we can keep the queue moving and give everyone a chance. Hopefully we will be back to more leisurely shopping soon!
Please don't be afraid to shop secondhand
The risk from secondhand goods is no greater than buying new- and the cost and environmental benefits from buying secondhand are huge. If you are super cautious you can sanitise the goods you buy or leave them bagged for 3 days at home- whatever you would usually do for new items as the risk is no greater for secondhand.
