Do babies and children need to be kitted out in the latest designer trend? Is Harper Beckham really a cut above the rest in the style stakes, or is a pretty dress a pretty dress wherever it comes from? A survey by Lakeside shopping centre published in The Mail (link below) revealed that 94% of mums questioned spend more on their children’s clothes than their own and half feel guilty about spending money on themselves. Nearly half of mums shopped once a week to make sure their little ones kept up to date with the latest trends. Do you do this? Is it a TOWIE thing? Just a harmless bit of fun? Or the norm as this article seems to suggest? I wonder if I just don’t get it because I have boys! When I read that a quarter spend £400-600 a year per child on kids clothes I can’t help thinking they should have shopped at mum2mum market instead!!! We always have loads of great clothes at mum2mum markets, including designer and top end of the high street brands at amazing prices. Yes, they may be last year’s designs, but I actually prefer that as it is far more individual. You are far less likely to encounter 3 other tots at playgroup in the same GAP T shirt! And there might be a few more pennies in the purse for a guilt free treat for yourself too! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2181165/A-staggering-94-mothers-spend-child-s-wardrobe-nearly-half-feel-guilty-spending-money-clothes-themselves.html 1/8/2013 03:39:16 am
I appreciate spending some time to talk about that, I believe firmly regarding this and so really enjoy understanding more about this kind of subject. Keep up the good. Comments are closed.
